What is your PR in XC so far?

What are your college plans, if you have them figured out?
Attend the Georgia Institute of Technology
What's your most memorable race or race you're most proud of?
The Pickens night race last year when me, Alaina, and Susan played on the playground.
What is your favorite meet in cross country season and why?
The airport race in Jefferson because it was where I PR’d and overall I was very motivated that race and pushed myself to my limit.
What has been your biggest challenge in high school or what has been the hardest obstacle to overcome?
My biggest challenge has honestly just been time management and learning to prioritize my schoolwork ahead of time rather than rushing to do it last minute.
What is your daily/weekly mileage like?
Around 25 miles a week
What do you think is the biggest part of training that has helped you achieve success?
Taking EASY days EASY, it doesn’t do yourself any good to always push yourself to the max.
What is your all time favorite workout?
The shorter meadow workout
What is your least favorite or hardest workout?
Varsity Hill backwards 🤮
What is your favorite pre-race meal?
Depending on the time I like to have a buttered noodles and right before a race I like to have a granola bar or banana.
Who do you have to thank for your success?
My Family along with Coach Wes and Coach Chaffin for supporting my first few years of XC. They believed in me even if I didn’t.
Who do you look up to most in your event?
The person I look up to the most is Sarah Bowling because even though she had multiple injuries, she continued to practice and was an amazing teammate no matter what.
What gets you pumped up for a workout or race?
Listening to Bruno Mars songs.
What will you miss the most about high school?
I’m going to miss being a part of a team like on XC, track, or soccer and always having teammates there for me.
What advice would you give your younger self?
It’s not about being the best out of everyone, but just doing the best that YOU can.
